5083 H321 H116 Aluminum Plate
The main alloying elements of 5083 aluminum plate are magnesium (Mg content is 4.0% - 4.9%), and contain a small amount of silicon (Si≤0.4%), copper (Cu≤0.1%), zinc (Zn≤0.25%), manganese (Mn 0.40% - 1.0%), titanium (Ti≤0.15%), chromium (Cr 0.05% - 0.25%) and iron (Fe≤0.4%).
The clever combination of these elements gives 5083 aluminum plate medium strength, excellent corrosion resistance, excellent weldability and good cold workability. For this reason, it is widely used in key parts such as hull structure, deck, bulkhead, etc. in shipbuilding.
Different heat treatment states
5083-h321 aluminum
5083 h321 aluminum plate is a stabilized treatment state obtained by work hardening and incomplete annealing. This state allows the aluminum plate to have a certain strength and good toughness. In practical applications, its advantages are fully demonstrated.
For example, in the manufacture of ship superstructures, due to the high requirements for the strength and formability of the material, the 5083 aluminum plate in H321 state is very suitable. It can withstand certain external forces and impacts to ensure the stability of the structure; at the same time, its good formability enables it to be processed into various complex shapes to meet the diverse needs of ship design.
In terms of surface treatment, the 5083 aluminum plate in H321 state can be subjected to operations such as wire drawing and lamination, which not only improves the aesthetics, but also further enhances the corrosion resistance. In terms of welding performance, it is suitable for a variety of welding methods, such as MIG, TIG, resistance welding, etc. The weld strength is high and it is not easy to crack after welding, which is crucial to the overall structural integrity of the ship.
5083-h116
5083 h116 aluminum plate shows good strength among non-heat-treatable aluminum alloys. Its strength index is excellent, with tensile strength σb (MPa) ≥ 305MPa, specified tensile strength σ0.2 (MPa) ≥ 215MPa, elongation δ10 (%) ≥ 20, and elongation δ5 (%) ≥ 12. Aluminum sheet in this state has good corrosion resistance and machinability.
In shipbuilding, for some parts that need to withstand large external forces and are in harsh marine environments for a long time, such as some structural parts of the underwater part of the hull, 5083 aluminum sheet in H116 state can show its prowess. With its own strength and corrosion resistance, it effectively resists the erosion of seawater and the impact of water currents and waves, ensuring the safe navigation of ships in complex marine environments.
Other tempers
5083 O aluminum plate has been heat treated, which greatly ensures its ductility and plasticity, making it easy to form during processing. The surface treatment methods of aluminum plates in this state are diverse, and can be anodized or sprayed according to actual needs, which not only improves the aesthetics, but also enhances wear resistance. In some ship interior decoration or small structural parts that have high requirements for aluminum plate forming and relatively low strength requirements, it is widely used.
