Marine Aluminum 6061

Marine aluminum 6000 series are mainly used to produce extruded profiles, and its representative alloys are alu 6061( mainly used in he United States and Canada) and AA6082 alloy (mainly used in European countries).

AA6082 alloy is a general light structural material in Europe, widely used in transportation tools and general industries. 6082 aluminum profile needs to undergo double-base heat treatment for aging hardening. The processing steps are: billet heating→ extrusion→ direct water quenching of profiles→ solution treatment→ straightening→ furnace aging. Only by strictly controlling the process parameters of each process can satisfactory mechanical properties be obtained.
