5052 Aluminium for Aluminum Alloy Boat

Aluminum alloy is an extremely strong material, so aluminum alloy boats require minimal maintenance and owners can enjoy their boats at sea. Especially on rocky beaches, shallow water, plus changing and demanding weather conditions, aluminum boats are a better choice. This is the real reason why aluminum boats are often preferred by governments, national agencies, search and rescue departments and marine research institutes.

5083 aluminum alloy provides the highest strength of all non-heat treatable aluminum alloys, and is used by many military and commercial vessels, but many similar sized fishing boats and yachts on the market use 5052 alloy for it is easier to form. The common tempers are 5052 h32 and h34 aluminum.

5052 aluminum sheet is suitable for the manufacture of economical aluminum alloy boats. The size of the aluminum plate used in the aluminum alloy ship is 2*2000*9000mm. In addition to being used in ship plates, 5052 aluminum plates can also be used in cable bridges, ship sinks, ship compartment floors and other parts on ships. Due to the relatively low magnesium content of 2.2-2.8%, the alloy does not exhibit stress corrosion cracking (SCC) compared to other aluminum alloys with magnesium content greater than 3.5%.

5052 aluminum alloy is a low density alloy that exhibits good thermal conductivity. This alloy has high strength, especially anti-fatigue strength, high plasticity and corrosion resistance, which cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, and can be hardened in semi-cold work. 5052 h32 is the the most commonly used state. H32 represents the processing condition of the product. H can be understood as incomplete annealing and work hardening. 32 represents that the hardness of the modified product has been stabilized at 1/4 hardness.

The bending performance in the H32 state is better, the tensile strength is about 220mpa, and the elongation can reach around 10%. It has good hardness and is suitable for bending. The hardness is almost 3-4 times that of pure aluminum plate, which is suitable for hardware products with high requirements for strength and strength.

5052H34 aluminum is e with good strength and hardness, suitable for products that require strength and do not have large bending. To achieve this temper, the metal is strain hardened, and then stabilized, to a strength that is roughly halfway between annealed (O) and full-hard (H38). The endurance limit is 125 MPa in an H34 temper.
